Pași pe graniță este un documentar dedicat identității noastre în definiția ei teritorială. E un film despre „lumea noastră”, care este nu în interiorul unor frontiere, ci, de fapt, nici nu se găsește atât pe hartă, cât în mintea și inima noastră. Pași pe graniță este un documentar în care geografia își dă întâlniri cu istoria. Filmul e un teritoriu delimitat de memoria autorului și de relația sa cu zonele familiare de frontieră. Treptat, însă, narațiunea se convertește într-o călătorie în istorie și spre ceilalți, coagulând în juru-i descoperirea altor experiențe omenești „frontaliere”.
“Steps on the Border” is a documentary dedicated to our identity in its territorial definition. The film follows our current understanding of the place that we belong to and that belongs to us. It is a film about our history – old and recent – told against the backdrop of the border. This documentary aspires to walking us freely on the border, exploring it. Gradually, exploration turns into a journey into history and towards others, coagulating around it the discovery of other “borderline” human experiences. ”Steps on the Border” is about “our world,” which is, it turns out, not within the borders of a country, but, in fact, is found in our minds and hearts rather than on maps.
